Gipton Green Shoots

Over the past few years, Waymarking has developed a long-term relationship with arts and health organisation Space2, based in Gipton, Leeds. In 2023/24, we supported the Meet Me At The Old Fire Station (MM@) leadership partnership (including Zest, Leeds and The Old Fire Station) in developing their strategic development.

 

Waymarking has been invited to partner with the MM@ partnership for the next three years, to deliver a programme of consultancy, training and mentoring to Space2 staff and volunteers, entitled Gipton Green Shoots.

 

The main focus is to embed community-research techniques within the MM@ partnership, engaging Gipton residents in healthy place shaping discussions, research and activities, over three years. This will champion local residents as experts in their neighbourhood, enable the partner organisations to integrate regular community research findings into their strategic planning and support the goal of enhancing six community spaces, based on the evidence collected during research.
