Background
Director of Waymarking, Sarah Spanton now works primarily in the planning, regeneration, economic development and community development fields. However, she has a wealth of experience from the arts and cultural sectors, on which her skills and expertise are built.
Spanton worked purely in the arts for over 25 years as both an artist and performer, and as an arts professional. She has had a wide variety of freelance and salaried roles including consulting, developing and managing cultural projects and events, facilitating, evaluating, training, participatory arts workshopping and researching.
